Squealing Pigs!

Most Republicans have now issued some type of negative response to Limbaugh's rantings on Sandra Fluke (and contraception), and Limbaugh has apologized.  Most are very unsatisfying, including the insincere apology from Limbaugh.  It took some serious Facebook, Twitter, and media comments to push the majority of Republicans to issue their comments and, for Rush, a loss of advertisers (nine so far) for him to apologize.

Romney's and Santorum's are perhaps the most unsatisfactory.  Romney says he would have chosen different words--one could interpret that as saying he would have found a more polite way to call Fluke a slut; Santorum's comment was that Limbaugh's comments were absurd but that he's an entertainer.  George Wills, the conservative columnist said it best, when he responded to Boehner's comment, who called Limbaugh's attacks "inappropriate."  "Inappropriate" is a word one uses if someone uses his salad fork to eat his main course, said Wills.

Aways have to love Ron Paul, even if I disagree with all his domestic policies. He was the first to call Limbaugh's apology insincere--Limbaugh only did it to save his bottom line, says Paul.  Of course.  Nine advertisers down and lots more to go!
