I just read a column discussing some British rock star condemning the British royal family for the death of the nurse who permitted a prank call to go to Kate's room. I can't remember the name of the star but I agree with his conclusions--although the column I read was condemning him. One has to conjecture why a woman would commit suicide if she wasn't scolded by management for putting the call through. (Everyone, including the royal family, are claiming to have been supportive. Really, does anyone believe their claims?) But the real point is these people (the British royal family) contribute nothing to the world (and take plenty) yet we have this incredible worship of everything they do. And it would appear that they actually believe they're worthy of all this attention, even a suicide. Perhaps because I'm Irish and have never taken much to the English (and why would I considering the horrors they inflicted on my people) but my absolute contempt for them is mainly because of their support of royalty in the year 2012. It's so nonsensical that it really doesn't even deserve a blog on why it's nonsensical. The interest in Lindsay Lohan is about on the same par, although Lohan did show promise at one point in her life. Please, let's have no more of Will and Kate, and maybe this poor woman's death will make some people wake up to the ridiculousness of it all.
Caveat: When I write that I don't take to the English I don't mean their literature or their films, which I much prefer to the American kind,
