NRA equals No Rational Arguments

The NRA is at it again.  In the wake of the Sandy Hook tragedy its offering was to put armed guards in every school in American, violence meeting violence.  When Obama said, as so many of us believe, that armed guards will not stop the killing of our children with guns, the NRA put out an ad calling Obama an elitist.  And why, because his two daughters are protected by Secret Service agents, in the same manner that they've protected the children of all presidents, Republican or Democrat.  The ad suggests that Obama has no right to expect protection of his children if he denies it to other American children.  Sure, and I want an armed guard with me every day when I leave my apartment.  And if Obama doesn't provide one, he's an elitist.  Give us a break!

I have a suggestion, perhaps instead of supporting Republicans to the tune of $20,000,000 a year, and more, it should provide that $20,000,000 to pay for the armed guards it wants in our schools.  Of course, that will never happen.  The NRA is no longer a private club for hunters with rifles but an agent of the gun manufacturers who make billions through their sales of weapons. Any decent person who was previously a member of the NRA should be aware that if he or she continues to support this heinous organization the attribution "decent" is no longer applicable.
