Occupy and the Declaration of Independence!

I expressed my concern to a friend about the many criticisms of Occupy Wall St., in particular from those who vote Republican.  Republicans, in case you've forgotten, are rabid supporters of the Constitution (with Clarence Thomas a good example), except of course when they want to amend the Constitution, which happens about every other week, particularly concerning bedroom issues, or who can marry whom.  She kindly sent me the following from the Declaration of Independence--an excellent reminder of our inherent right to alter or abolish bad government.
We hold these rights to be self-evident, That all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, & the pursuit of happiness; that to secure these rights governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.
