“I myself have never been able to find out precisely what feminism is: I only know that people call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat, or a prostitute.” ― Rebecca West, The Young Rebecca: Writings, 1911-1917

Finally!
I can't take credit for President Obama's turnaround on gay marriage but it's finally come, and I'm delighted. I doubt it will have a negative impact in the coming election. Those who hate Obama because he's an African-American, which includes virtually all of those who call him a left-leaning socialist, will still vote for Romney. A few African-Americans, a group largely negative towards gays, may not come out and vote but I doubt they'll vote for Romney, and against the first black president, and those like me who have been disgusted with his inability to take stands on matters of principle are likely to reward him by turning out in November, and perhaps not pull the "Green" lever. Good show Obama!
