Forgiveness and redemption says Rick "The Christian" Perry as he endorses Newt Gingrich on the same day that an interview with Marianne Gingrich is aired, where she tells how Newt asked for an "open marriage" so he could continue sexting his mistress Callista in Marianne's bedroom, the same Callista of strong Catholic belief, who when she married Newt after a six-year affair did so with the approval of the Catholic church, the church which welcomed Newt with open arms, the church that has nothing to say about Newt's race baiting, too busy no doubt feeding little boys (and the occasional girl) to its sexting clergy.
Am I being hard on the Catholic Church?--I don't think so, but then I left it long ago shortly after complaining to Cardinal Spellman's office in 1963-1964 about distributing the racist publication "None Dare Call It Treason" in the back of a local church. Go away I was told! It's the same church where some of its bishops directed its clergy to refuse communion to John Kerry for supporting pro-choice laws, yet never refused communion to Catholic governors who supported and executed the death penalty. Hypocrisy--there are no bounds!
Now Newt's daughters from his first marriage are stating that it's categorically untrue that their father wanted an "open" marriage. How would or could they know this?--surely their father did not discuss his mistress with his daughters. (And isn't that what their father had, an open marriage, just without the consent of the wife, since he admits to having had a six-year affair with Callista while he was married to Marianne.) Could anyone, even Newt Gingrich, be so tacky as to discuss his sex life with his daughters; yet it's possible. His daughters certainly are tacky, one assumes by inheritance. They defend a man who asked their mother for a divorce while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer treatment. Is the prospect of sleeping in the Lincoln bedroom that enticing?
Speaking of tacky. There's the story of Gingrich, from his former campaign director, who saw Gingrich in his car, in his driveway, having Clintonian sex with the wife of a colleague. This gentleman was walking by Newt's car, accompanied by Newt's two young daughters, bringing them back to their house for milk and cookies. Luckily, he says, the girls were too short to see what was happening (and I sincerely hope too young to understand the significance of the woman's bobbing head). It boggles my mind that Gingrich supporters are so racist that they prefer to abide with a man like this in the White House than a black man--because he's black, who is faithful to his family and his country. Christians, really!
