“I myself have never been able to find out precisely what feminism is: I only know that people call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat, or a prostitute.” ― Rebecca West, The Young Rebecca: Writings, 1911-1917

A Woman's Perspective!
There are so many things to say about the Service Service scandal: violating their oath of office (patronizing prostitutes not permitted); violating their marriage vows (also not permitted), putting the President's life at risk (definitely not permitted), using women as objects (no comment). I could go on and on. But what really gets my blood boiling about this and the DSK scandal is that the men involved were not only cheaters, but cheap. DSK, as ugly as sin, claims there was no coercion in his liaison with the African-American hotel maid; it was consensual and no payment was required. The Secret Service agent offered $30.00 (the price of eggs and bacon in a New York hotel) to a high-priced Columbian hooker. If the maid or the Columbian were white and American, or both, would payment have been made in full? I believe so. DSK's political career is ruined and the Secret Service agent is fired because these women stood up for their rights. Hooray for them!
