Bachmann, the New Joe McCarthy!

If any of you actually thought that the era of Joe McCarthy was over, I suggest you think again.  Michele Bachmann, in a letter to various political entities, linked Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton's senior aide in the State Department (and an employee of Clnton's for 15 years) to the Muslim Brotherhood and to fostering terrorism.  She challenges the fact Abedin has the highest security clearance, suggesting that she may be influencing or leaking state department secrets to terrorist groups.  And she does this without a single proof of guilt, as McCarthy did to so many Americans. Although some Republicans have condemned Bachmann's comments, John McCain in particular, unless the Republican Party as a whole censures Bachmann, as the Congress did to McCarthy, we haven't a hope of recovering from our fallen state.  We are indeed in hell, if only in metaphor.
